PostSubject: New UFWL Ladder League   Fri May 22, 2009 3:52 pm

Today I spent allot of time talking to 1Lt. Switz [86th ID] and we got to talking. And he told me about this new ladder.
It is for all units and clans, as you enroll you'll be put in axis or allies and start in capitol.

this screen is an example of the ladder after a few matches

As your side takes territories you'll earn control (75% of Europe to attack capital)

each territory represents a dods map
some territories are 6vs6
others 14vs14

The gray circles are unconquered, its not set to mimic history exactly.

On the map when the website is finished as you hover over the map pop ups appear detailing, name of territory (Germany), uwfl past engagements, upcoming fights, demos, actual history, and perk, and control values. So in a way some rpg elements added.

The ladder is designed to never end, but it does have a way just a very extreme and tough way.
They are going to make it realistic as possible, such as you play a match and you win say 3 rounds and lost 2 you are required to take 2 weeks off to reorganize. Its like your unit was hurt.

But this league isn't going to be set up for a while, we got a preview.

On another note they are the creators of DODS project.

Sweet vids. Make DOD seem way cooler than it really is.

Notice how one guy armed with only a bolt action rifle actually did NOT take out the entire Wermacht and march into Berlin unscathed.
